About Cui Zimo

Cui Zimo，lives in Beijing, China. He has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree of Science and Engineering and has a PhD in Art History. He engages mainly in the study of aesthetics and cross-disciplinary research. He promotes the integration between science and art and the scientific study of art. He advocates “useful culture”, and integrates theory with practice. He is an influential academic painter in the contemporary arts. Although he is the author of many articles and academic works, he has a wide vision in art creation, from the traditional to the modern, including calligraphy, seal-carving, Chinese-painting, oil painting, porcelain, sculpture, installation art, photography, and poetry, prose, essays. He has personal exhibits held in France, Canada,Japan, Germany, the United States, etc, and has participated in many world-class art exhibitions and is the recipient of countless honors and awards. His art works are collected by several foundations and museums worldwide. He has been nick-named “Multi-talented painter”, “The king of lotus”, “Diamond Cui”, and most importantly, “A genius from the last five hundred years” by the top academic authority .
